The new Civic got Motor Trend's COTY award, take it or leave it. I think the sedan looks better than the coupe, exterior-wise (at least the interior is much better than a Corolla or Mazda3)

I think nearly all cars made in the 80s look like shit (with the exception of the DeLorean). The 70s were worse. The 50s & 60s had some nice-looking cars. Anyways, my point is that tastes change over time.

This is why Honda and Toyota make such bland cars. Because when they go out on a limb they produce something vomit-inducing.

BTW was the original CVCC fwd or rwd? Some Japanese subcompacts actually were RWD for a time (such as the Toyota Starlet)

Euro civic, hell yes! images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

US civic eh, no images/smilies/thumbdown.gif

On that note I would actually concider the US civic if it came as a 4door hatchback. That's what I'm looking right now for a commuter car. small, 4door hatch, manual tranny, good fuel economy that isn't bland looking. (I 've concidered a scion but that center mounted speedo = images/smilies/yucky.gif ) I'm actually concidering a hyundai images/smilies/ph34r.gif
