2006 BMW X5

And here comes the official pics!

It has seven seats, a standard BMW interior and the exterior is very similar to the old car except some details. Biggest engine is offcourse 4.8 ltr with 367 hp, 0-100 in 6.5 secs.

Quite ugly...

I don't mind the look of it. The front headlights are very stylised and interesting to look at. The rear is quite sporty, however I found an angle it looks a bit awkward....

Is it just me or have BMW finally upped the quality of their interiors beginning with this new X5? images/smilies/eek.gif

I think it looks MUCH better and is finally on par with Mercedes in terms of luxury in the cabin images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Nice slabs of quality looking wood, less cheap BMW plastics and a stylish-curved dash rather than BMW straight edged dash's of the past.

The 3rd row seats unfortunately look small, straight-backed and cramped. But overall it looks good. The 367BHP V8 would be my pick images/smilies/biggrin.gif

thank god they haven't messed up the design with some weird headlights.
looks very good overall and i would even say the rear seats seem to have some legroom.

Typical new BMW there, exterior is so embarassingly ugly that you don't care how nice it is inside. If I only cared about the car's merits, it would be an excellent one, I'm sure of it. But I don't... images/smilies/yucky.gif

the outer half of the rear lights have a 1 series look and overall it ahs the X3 look which in itself is horrible. Front looks good but the rest falls to BMW standards

When i look at this thing, i envisage a city full of arrogant twentysomethings all stuck in a traffic jam, yelling at each other, because they've got to get home to tell the neighbours how much better they are than their neighbours, because they dont drive a BMW SUV. The BMW X5, looks ok, but the idea of it, and thinking about the kind of people that will make up the majority of owners (people who devote their lives to having slighty more shit than the people next door), makes me want to take a screwdriver to a puppy.
