| Previously Known As Jamesd | Ahhh, so pretty! I was waiting for these to come out, thanks man. Where are the Caprice ones though? As for the person who said about the size of the commodore in the last thread, it's bigger than the old commodore, and the Statesman is even bigger. With AWD, insiders have said that AWD won't appear in VE, so maybe in the future. As for the TT Alloytech, they would have said something at the launch.. The doorline on the Calais when you focus on it really looks like a BMW 5 Series. I love this, even the Omega's (Base) is going to have flared wheel arches. Shame there's no ute and wagon until later, but the wagon is going to be like the saab sports wagon apparently. Sounds good. Interior really looks like a big step up from previous generation cars, too. I can wait to see it in the flesh! I'll have to go past Hamilton Holden in the near future! |

Not a massively adventurous design, but very clean and classy. SS looks suitable aggressive, but I wouldn't mind seeing a base spec. I actually think the Calais looks better than the SS - doesn't have all the extra plastic hanging off if it interupting the lines (particularly at the rear). Interior is, naturally, an enormous leap over the current one - again nice clean design, the integration of the handbrake is especially neat. But, that colour coded dash on the SS-V is truly revolting, gawd that's just awful.

Car: 1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5L Rep Power: 41 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The SS-V looks like a winner to me I don't quite understand why this "release" car is in that awefull orange Should be in Holden RED Also the dash is orange which is disgusting Those 19"ers really fill up the guards and there are optional 20"ers for added grip I think the VZ alloys were better though...but no biggieThe back of it looks sweet with those high mounted techno lights. The SS finally has a more 'racey' bodykit which should piss off Ford fans hahaha. Speaking of Ford...I can't help but notice (especially on the Calais) that the front looks so like a facelifted BA, but thats another story altogether.... |

I think the SS needed a more agressive bodykit because the old one didn't stand out as much as it really should have. This new one looks sweet though! btw: Looks like this big release has ended up killing LS1.com.au lol

| Previously Known As Jamesd | Although LS1 was up for a few minutes though, I managed to sneak a post in! Forgot about the WM just being a teaser though.@Magnet who says you have to get an orange dash? You can colour match them to whatever you have on the exterior though. I've just noticed the small details in the interior between the CalaisV and the SSV, it's nice to see Holden are making sure there's something else apart from different badges in each model. Hell, you couldn't tell the difference between a VT Berlina and VT Calais back ages ago, so much the same! ![]()

These images are published across the world. An all orange dash is just tasteless! What Holden should have done is had a red SS-V with a sporty two tone black/red interior or something like that.Whilst watching the live stream, I noted that I really do like the front headlamp assembly of the Caprice. It is very Euro and quite stylish. Maybe a bit too stylish for our Johnny Howard hehe... And for those non-Aussie members of the forum - here is the previous SS which sat on top of an ageing platform. The big deal about the VE is that its all new. ![]() ![]()

| It looks like a heavily modified Saab body. Not that thats a bad thing I love the interior design and the exterior look as well.-duders
