Default 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan unveiled

Quote:
Honda today unveiled its 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan, which will be on display at the Paris Motor Show later this month. The debut marks the first time that "Si" performance has become available in the Civic Sedan. Similar to the existing Civic Si Coupe, the Civic Si Sedan serves as another performance halo for the Civic line-up with a 197-horsepower, 16-valve, DOHC 2.0 liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine with an 8,000 rpm redline - all mated to a close-ratio, 6-speed manual transmission and a helical-type, limited slip differential. Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with Traction Control is standard (and also added to the Civic Si Coupe as standard equipment for 2007). Similar to the Civic Si Coupe, the Civic Si Sedan has a sporty interior with deeply bolstered seats, red fabric stitching, red backlit gauges, and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob.

Actually better looking than the coupe version but that wing has to go.

You can't get enough of leftlane lately, huh? images/smilies/lol.gif

Anyways, this is the sixth variation of the Civic sedan(DX, LX, EX, GX, SI, Hybrid). Add the four coupes(DX, LX, EX, SI) and ,if your smarter than the designers of this blasphemous creation labeled the "SI" sedan, you realize that makes ten Civics...TEN!?!

Whats next?....the Oddesey Type R images/smilies/wacko.gif

Why! Dammit, can't they see what we want is the full-fat Type-R hatch? images/smilies/twisted.gif

Actually, the car isn't bad, but what's the point of it, really. I'd still have a Jetta 2.0T over it.

Cool car, I like it images/smilies/thumbup.gif But my only real problem with the Civic is the sedan version looks so ugly from the rear. Other than that, its fine.

Hatches still don't sell that well in the US.

I am talking overall. Sedans outsell hatches in the US.

Vette Boss made a good point there mentioning the Golf. And that's the car the Type-R is up against so one would pressume if American's like the Golf (which they do), they'd like the Civic.

Oh, well if you're talking about overall, then 4x4/off-roaders sell more than anything else. Americans need something their doughnuts and 44oz Big Gulp beverage will fit in. images/smilies/tongue.gif

That's only because Americans don't think of hatches as "hot hatches". I hate the fact that Honda only gives the U.S. "semi-sporty" versions of their cars. In fact, essentially every Japanese manufacturer waters down their cars for the North American market. images/smilies/thumbdown.gif

I think the two door looks much better than the 4 door. With the Si package it just looks too much like an aftermarket tune job, although a better than average one.

I love the interior.
