The thread title should read:

HSV is good-taste shock

Apart from the excessive chrome around the front (particularly awful around that lower air intake) - that's quite possibly their best looking car yet - they've restrained themselves and ended up with a classy, yet aggressive car.

It was:
1. Too long (duh!!)
2. It was breaking the profile H-scroll on the left hand side of the screen quite badly, LOL.

Are you complaining? I can revert to it if you wantimages/smilies/tease.gif

And the wheel arches don't look as prominent on the Caprice/Grange compared to the VE Commo's. I still like it heaps though images/smilies/biggrin.gif

^I dunno, I like the old Grange better than this, I absolutely loved the look of the old Stateman/Grange... looks so much cooler than the new one, the new one is more curved and doesn't look as pimp anymore images/smilies/lol.gif

I think the wheels on this Aston would look better on the Grange

Or something a little chunkier.

I've somehow lost the track - to which model is that car related? (Like Commodore or Calais)

Commodore and Calais are all part of the same line mautzel

I'm sure Holden can spell Vectra given they sell them as well

Sorry - I meant: which platform does the Grange use / which cars do use the "E-Series" as platform as well? (Can't be the Vectra - that has its engines mounted transverse, so no chance to put a V8 in it)

It's based on the Holden Statesman/Caprice which is a normal version of the Grange. The Statesman/Caprice are based on the Commodore but has a larger chassis. HSV enhances it and makes it more sporty.
