    2007 Nissan Intima Concept

Nissan reveals its Intima Concept ahead of Tokyo debut

    WorldCarFans.com short description:
In the unlikely event you get lost in all of the concepts coming out of Japan recently please close your eyes and take long deep breaths, if however you are basking in all its glory we have yet another concept, this time from Nissan named the Intima and we can say out of all of the concepts Nissan has presented to us, this one looks most likely to make it to production.

This "Modern Living Concept" has been specifically designed to provide relaxation and comfort both inside and out, we'll leave it up to you to decide if this has been achieved.

The styling of the exterior gives us a possible insight into the future design direction whilst maintaining the familiar Nissan look we all know and love. Featuring opposed hinged doors, and "crystal like appearance" of the front and rear lamps, the exterior has been designed to project an image of quality and refinement you would relate to jewellery. The Interior features 80° swivel chairs for ease of access and as you would expect an elegantly styled interior.

The Nissan Intima Concept will make its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month

So what is this, like a preview of the next-gen Maxima/Teana?

Looks nice in profile but overall looks like its yet another design with pedestrian safety as high priority. It could have looked sleek if it weren't for that massive overhang at the front and huge ass at the back.

    Looks very nice. Cool interior.

The idea of the doors is cool too!

    Holy overhangs Batman!

Needs either a longer wheelbase, or an axe being taken to front & back.

I like it, especially the simple but elegant interior. Unfortunately we'll never see it on the road in that way. The final result very probably will be another dull and ordinary saloon car.

Blame the Euroweenies for that one, they legislated mandatory hood and bumper heights, so now all cars are going to look like that.

I suppose it has potential, but that is hideous. Good thing the actual car is always watered down from the concept.

Side profile reminds me of a Merc CLS, but the overhangs are far too long. Front three-quarters view makes it look like a train with a cow guard; not a good look.
I can just see pedestrians being scooped up, sliding over the bonnet and eventually over the roof and off the back, to land on the ground.

is that a diesel? or some serious low revving petrol engine. And the whole car looks awful, the interior isnt bad tho, i like the modern design and the suicide doors but everything else just looks terrible.

sweet. I love it - EXCEPT - how would you close the door if you get in the back? Those taillights look familiar too.

Wouldn't want to have a side impact crash in that thing. I guess an SUV bumper would kiss the other side of the car, through me and the remains of the interior.
