Default 2007 Toyota Tundra, 2007 Lincoln Navigator

Quote:
The new Tundra is a bigger truck. The Tundra's wheelbase has been stretched 10 inches to 138.3 inches on the standard cab. The wheelbase on the Double Cab is 150.5 inches. The overall length grows about the same amount, ranging from about 228 to 240 inches. A new 5.7-liter V-8 joins the engine lineup. That engine should make more than 300 hp and be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. It will join the current engines - a 4.0-liter V-6 that was rated at 236 hp for 2006 and a 4.7-liter V-8 that was rated at 271 hp. Towing capacity rated at more than 10,000 pounds. Three trim levels - base, SR5 and Limited - and three cab configurations, including the Double Cab. The options list will include a rearview backup camera and Bluetooth connectivity for cellular telephones.

Lincoln also unveils its refreshed 2007 Navigator/Navigator L, which so far retains its well-known name. Navigator gets 24 cubic feet of extra cargo space, a stiffer frame and a new wrapper for the Lincoln-minded rapper.

I like the redesigned Tundra and its 300hp 5.7 liter V8 engine. The Navigator is nice looking but I really like the interior.

Lincoln tries to do something no car manufactor has done before: looking at the back, it also could be the predecessor of the old Navigator (very boxy) and especially when you look at the interior you could get the impression that they're trying bring a good amount of 1970ish retro elements into it - but what for, I don't know. (The 1970s are the times with the least appealing / most ugly cars to me, hence, there's no reason whatsoever to bring them back again in my opinion - though I have to admit that it doesn't really make a difference on an SUV anyway)

images/smilies/lol.gif at the 'Instant MPG' meter in the Tundra - that must make fascinating reading - "I didn't know MPG went that low..."

As for the Lincoln - what the hell is up with that styling??? Like mautzel said they've gone retro, but in a very very bad way - the rear, and those gauges images/smilies/yucky.gif

Yes but you have to wonder at his motivation of just coming in here, saying "fuck the trucks" and getting out. I would like to know specifics of why he does not like the trucks.

the front of the tundra looks squashed, but that interior looks very good.
the navigator looks kinda like the Nissan Pathfinder Armada from the side, but it looks like absolute crap everywhere else. the worst part is that they took time to restyle the interior, and it still looks like garbage
