It's just that 99% of the people on this board feel that they need to follow everything that TopGear says.

After a few months and after I've seen a few new Navigators, they don't look as bad as they initially did. I prefer it to the new Tahoes and Yukons actually when it comes to looks.

Here's Robert Cumberford's (of Automobile Magazine) take on the Tundra.

I applaud Lincoln's style direction. It may not be to everyone's tastes, but I like that dashboard. It breaks away from the standard black-plastic-with-a-slab-of-silver-on-the-console-with-chrome-dial-rings you get these days.

I don't like the new Tundras, I hate the styling. I like the grill and dash of the Lincoln though.

I do agree a large majority have to follow TG, or at least what they think TG says, or the last resort is one of the first 2-3 replies. If the first posts hates something, all those that like it seem to run from the thread (look at the s2000 wide body video in video sections).

With that being said, you're posting Trucks on a forum full of people who wish they could own an Ariel Atom for a daily driver and be more like the Brits.

Lastly, the Navigator is just an ugly ass SUV, the Tundra ain't any better. The interior design on the Lincoln is kind of cool, but knowing Ford... The Navigators ass end is hideous and boring (looks like they lifted a minivan), and the front end looks to me like an accountant saw all the milk crates out behind the chow hall and images/smilies/think.gif "throw some chrome paint on it 'em and they'll look great on the front of a Ford Expedition.

They are trying to take cues from their past designs (which is fine cause some of them are great) and apply them to the wrong vehicle.

Acres of fake wood? Check!
Rounded off square for the dash? Check!
Haphazard and lopsided placement of vents? Check!
Cut-rate silver accents? Check!
SQUARE GAUGES!? Check and double check!

We are now going "retro" back to the horrible interior designs of the 70s and 80s. Welcome to 2000/1984 everyone.

Just shoot me now.

I wonder if they'll bring back those old radio's with the big toggle buttons for the presets.

Soon they will make those speedos that are in a line... dunno what it is called. Speedo I guess. images/smilies/biggrin.gif Personally I think there is too much square shapes in that cabin. It goes beyond retro it just looks old.

In time they will make seats that have no neck support and they will get rid of the seatbelts because that is retro too. images/smilies/mellow.gif
