Default Abt tunes Audi A4/A5

Courtesy of AutoBlog
Quote:
We touched on Abt Sportsline's range of upgrades for the current VW and Audi offerings during last year's Essen Motor Show. Unfortunately, we only had drab-looking photos back then, and frankly, the dark backgrounds didn't do much to liven up the looks of the cars.

Since then, Abt has seen fit to produce complete photo sets that show off the company's modifications far better than the earlier images. The available mods are spelled out here, but in both cases, Abt can transform the A4 or A5 with a subtle body kit (especially when compared to some other tuners), new wheels, a sport suspension, a freer-flowing exhaust system, and a variety of power upgrades. In a perfect world where we could have the Euro-spec diesels, we'd happily opt for the Abt-tuned 3.0 TDI. In both cars, it packs 300 horsepower and a stout 442 lb-ft of torque. Yeah, we could get around just fine with that.

Interesting. I just hope that this isn't the beginning of painting everything with wheels in Bugatti color schemes.

Looks good with the standard paint, the dual colour job is just wrong.

I think the front on the A4 doesn't suit it. The A5, however, looks wonderful.

Since the colors selected were FROM the Veyron...

Dual colors don't look good, neither do the wheels, needs to be sleek, not flashy.

no, see, you don't understand.....

2-toning has been around longer than the Veyron. hell, even it's maker, Bugatti, used it back when they were making elegant cars. but they aren't the only one who does it. lets go back to the 50's and 60's with Chevy's and Buick's.

and link please for info on the colors being from Bugatti.....

I'm not saying that two toning was INVENTED by Bugatti, but when you copy their color scheme so closely, people are bound to say, huh, looks like a Veyron color scheme

When the hell did anyone say that?

Blind_Io said Bugatti 'color schemes' not it's colors, as in Ferrari red, or Merc silver images/smilies/bangin.gif

Hmm, the ABT AS5. Yeah...

I'll take an electric blue A4, please. That thing looks wonderful in the metal, minor facelift compared to the old one, but much much nicer (i am of course talking about the stock new A4).

Not my cup of tea. I'd just get an A5 3.2 V6 instead. images/smilies/smile.gif

Well. I don't usually like ABT's Audis. The ABT R8 is truly vulgar. These however. They are awesome.

I would have that AS4 over an A6 anyday.

The AS4 looks a bit weird with the new bumpers and lip spoiler, the AS5 however looks pretty damn good. (except for the chrome rims and two-tone paint)
