Default American Super Car V7 Super Coupe: twin-turbo LS1 mid-engine 1967 Vette

Yeah, the pictures are pretty awful and don't really show off how epic this car is. Not my problem, though.

Right after bolting in the steering column before this shot was taken the crew realized the adapter hub for the steering wheel didn't exist. Phil fired up the mill at 4AM last Thursday morning and machined one so the car could get here and Mequires could put the detail on the machine for their booth. Next year promises a 1966 supercharged mid-engine drop top Vette.

Short of the slightly wierd doors, that's a fantastic build. I can certainly appreciate the amount of work that went into that!

If it's one thing that America is good at, it's building things like this.

I appreciate the level of engineering that went into it but it looks horrid.

The engine cover and the doors are open which makes it look very weird. But based on this picture, it could look pretty badass:

Looks are one thing, because it's hard to take one of the most beautiful cars of the 60s and jam the engine in someplace completely different while still preserving its overall looks. I think they did a great job with it, though. From the back it looks like a rocket.

I thought it was going to be some car with a crazy new V7 engine someone had bodged out of an LS1.

I am impressed ... looks like some thousand hours of work ...

But did they kill a Corvette Stingray for that or does it just look like one? I hate it when people mod great classic cars ... that´s like killing oldtimers ...

I'm enormously impressed by the amount of the work and the talent required for the car - I need to to see more pics before decided if I actually like the looks of it, but that doesn't take anything away it.

Belive me, its the lighting. The "star lights" that are above the car break up the lines and make it look like a mad man took a sledge hammer to strategic parts of the car.
