Default Anyone heard of PGO?

Just got a www.netcarshow.com update... and saw this thing.
http://www.netcarshow.com/pgo/2009-hemera/

Anyone know what it is?

Looks sweet and at 2100lbs... the 139hp doesn't sound to shabby either.

PGO was a French company that used to sell Cobra and Porsche 356 replicas.

Yea it looks like they had a left over 356 front end and Cobra rear and decided to mash the two together.

The front looks nice as a modern interpretation of the Porsche 356 but the rest of the car is just ugly.

yup, they have a dealer near where I live.
They sell fuck all though, although I quite like the idea of a "classic" looking car with moderate power, but modern brakes and stuff.

their other models look much much more like an original 356 Porsche though.

Just a shame of the name. If you say "PGO" quickly, it sounds like Peugeot. Which you don't want. Obviously

the front is kind of nice, except for that random looking door which looks like they've just slapped on whatever was at hand at the time because the line at the bottom doesn't match up with the line on the car, but the back is just plain freaky.

I've heard of them, they make that car but in convertible mode... which is bad enough, this is even worse.

Porsche has heard of them too, hence the court case. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

it has styling cues from Alpine A310.. if the front end wouldn't be so damn hideous, it could almost be called retro.

To be honest, I was expecting a rebadged Bolwell Nagari!

I thought PGO made scooters. Why I said I was expecting a rebadged Bolwell Nagari is because Bolwell market PGO scooters in Australia as Bolwell Scootas ...

Edit: Looks like Bolwell have changed the name of their Scooter division to 'Select Scootas'. Perhaps to try and get people to take the Nagari more seriously?

The back end bears more than a passing resemblance to that Smart Roadster thing.

In fact the whole thing looks like a Smart Roadster going to a fancy dress party as a Porsche.
