Call me krazy, but from that angle, it realy reminds me of a Ford Mustang. Of course after a second glance you realise that its way more... TT-ish. Which is good. And the nuvolari looks odd, freaky headlamps.

The Nuvolari Concept is a much bigger car based on the new rear-wheel-drive oriented (though Quattro will still be used) platform (40/60 torque split) Audi is developing, similar to the RS4 chassis and all other new 2006 models. The Nuvolari/A6/A5 coupe will be their GT car.

the nuvolari will come to form in the shape of the A5 only a bit smaller. I doubt audi will be sharing any more platforms with VW in the future as they have developed a chassis that can be made to stretch, ie the same chassis in theory could be used for the A3 and A8.
