I'm going to stay out of this fire storm, but I just have to say I agree with TomCat.
Moutains of Molehills people. The only real issue I see the camaro having is the wiring problem. That was fixed. The cracking and break weights were both on a pre-production model. (can't remember who it was but... ) A member of this very forum proved that there were no brake weights when he went and saw the car in person.

The weights are on the v8 SS with Brembos, not the V6 with regular brakes.

I've owned a camaro before, (Only one of you seemed to have caught that). And the 'Camaro' bashing is very common on places known as 'Ford forums' in case you didn't know. What are you guys offended by a off key comment I made in reguards to the car/its owners? ![]() Other than the 'joke' the rest of you refuse to drop I've added quite a bit to this thread whether you like to admit it or not. As for the looks well that's my opinion. As far the rest of it though, that was my own observations from actually sitting in the car. Don't like them, that's fine too... Quote:
I'm sure you've got some stereotyipical non-sense you can use against the Mustang guys. Same damned thing. GM has been trying to make the 2010 Camaro as close to perfect as they possibly can, get it as far away as the nightmares that were the 3rd and 4th gen cars... and a few problems that should've been a easy fix before the car was launched are not helping them get away from the reputation the camaro's gained from those F-bodies. Now I can understand 13.8 if it was a 6spd car like the SRT8 Challenger it was racing, but that was clearly a automatic Camaro. A 6spd you can screw up on the track (the Challenger showed that. Considering that's a 12.9-13.1 car with the 6spd), you can't on a automatic... Which makes that time rather pathetic and confusing at the same time. Pathetic because of how slow it was, and Confusing because it had to be driver error of some kind that resulted in it going that slow... Until more SS Camaro race track videos come out we won't know what that driver was doing or what he wasn't doing... |

A few quick spins to clean the crap off them is all you need. Any more and the tire gets slick and greasy...He probably left the traction control on... |

No sorry, im not a dick to people based on the car they like. Oh and i've once again highlighted a common issue with the dissenters in this thread, and will continue until it stops. Oh, and enlighten me on how a camaro getting rear ended is the fault of.... the camaro?

You didn't see the humor in what I posted then that's fine. But don't go all politically correct because you find yourself offended by a joke... You are the only person who's getting bent out of shape and making a personal crusade against me because of something as innocent as saying 'You have to have a Mullet, live in a trailer and have a assault record to own a camaro'... Ford guys have been using that against the Camaro owners for years, to the point where it's a running joke that even the current magazine publications picked up on. Its nothing but a harmless jab, something that's been going on for years. The fact that you and a few others on here are taking it so personally amazes me. I also never said anything about the Camaro getting rear ended as the result of it being a Camaro. Reading Comprehension Matt, someone used it on me, now I'm using it on you. Find me where I said that the result of that accident was the Camaro's fault. What I did say, was it makes the wide and large ass end of the camaro look better. The key word you need to focus on is 'look'. |

Well it's quite obvious that neither of you are trailerpark whiskey tangos whose bowlegged mother's only qualification for child birth was a womb that was just skillful enough to catch the sperm of a passing truck driver. So, sigh of relief.
However, I do believe it also quite obvious that both of you are just sensitive enough to have a multi-page he-said-she-said PMS fest about a perceived heritage insult that was neither relevant nor accurate. Therefore, I think it is best for all parties, indeed this entire site's reputation, that you both shut the fuck up about the goddamn insult. Seriously, enough. Use PMs if it's really that important. Back to the Camaro, then. Last edited by MadCat360; May 11th, 2009 at 9:43 AM. |

Wow so people will bash the Camaro over a minor issue that is fixed for free if affected by it, but will readily praise Porsches, Jags, and Ferraris.... When the Boxster and 996 came out their rear main seals might as well have been made out of dish rags, Jags have more quality issues than any car I've ever seen, and Ferrari's continually have serious issues with spontaneously ejecting oil onto hot engines...

And to show that I am an equal opportunity troll here is the new Mustang. Though it only appears to be on the tires and not the brakes.
