I usually don't like throwback cars, at all. But this one is very good, it echoes the old style and has a modern chassis and everything.

the render looks great, but i the fact that they made such a huge fuck up makes me not want to buy one (if i could) out of spite.

btw, this marriage concept isn't really new at all. the c5 chassis, drivetrain and suspension has been a very popular choice for the underpinnings of various projects. a not to indepth search of the interwebs will yield a number of companies that sell just the chassis, etc. for those interested in putting c1 and c2 bodies over them; as well as other models' bodies ('55 chevy, 1st gen camaros, etc). there are even companies who'll sell you entire cars or the kits.

there's a company in tennessee that's reproduced complete fiberglass bodies of a '55 chevy and other classics that have been designed to pair up with an art morrison or c5 chassis. this is one of my dream projects. old school styling with modern ride and handling. sweet!

I've seen one of those 1953 C5 'vettes before... it really didn't look that good at all.

Looks damn good to me - a well done Corvette. Now get the engineering and interior right and I'd love one - on my list of cars I'd like to own but most probably never will.
