Well, we didn't fall asleep or get lost, and below you'll find a breakdown of what we learned while spending the day hip deep in Chrysler's future product. V-... viper go away? This make me sad. Make that "may return" into a "will return" and I'll be not sad.

Bring on the Fiats!.... in 3-4 years..... they're clearly in no big hurry. At least we'll be getting 500s next year. And I'm not seeing how a Panda can be called a SUV, since it's clearly a car.

I hope to see some unmolested Alfas in a few years. Supplied by Fiat means the Fiat Auto Group or w/e their official name is and not necessarily Fiat the brand right?

Having driven a few model year 2010 Chryslers...nothing has really changed on many of them unless they're saying they'll be changed truly when it really is 2010. Honestly the Charger is still unsatisfying, the Avenger is still horrible, the Journey is really slow and the Caravans are properly equipped for once(Canadian versions for a while had no adjustable mirrors...yeah really stupid).

Don't forget that this also means an upcoming RWD Alfa via the 300C's platform.

Yes we are losing the Viper, which is really sad. They said they were going to bring the Viper back, or I thought so. Just in a different form.

However, the PT Cruiser is going, which is always a wonderful thing.
Same with the Caliber (replacement for the Neon). I rode in one and they are just awful. Looks like an SUV, but isn't big enough to really be used as one.

Fiat 500 is awesome. I'm glad they are bringing it here.

Overall, I hope Fiat will do some good. Chrysler did have the more boring lineup across all their brands.

I'm not sure I understand why they're getting rid of the Dakota, unless that "mid-size Ram" is meant to replace it. Even then I don't really see the point.

^agreed, I loved the dakota it wa the perfect size, and you could get it with a nice V8.

It needs a total revamp because compared to the 2009 Ram...the Dakota is really awful to drive and its electronics are stupidly unreliable.

Its a big loser in sales even as far back in 2007, at least a good chunk of its total sales are due to rental fleets. We used to not get too many in 2008 but in 2009 we got a ridiculous amount of them, telling us that they're selling very badly like the outgoing Kia Spectra.
