For a family car, that's still brilliant.

Wow !!! That looks abolutely stunning !!!

Now that's out of the way, let's clear a few things up. This will be one of the following:

A: Never go into production

B: Will go to production, be toned down A LOT finally becoming yet another boring, ugly french concept-gone-bad

C: Will go to production, look reallyreallyreally good.......and to ruin it all have FWD and a hybrid engine.

What it will NEVER be is something looking as fantastic as that, have the engine from the 908 RC Le Mans car and placed in the middle, propulsion going to the rear wheels.

I have no hopes for this car. Mind you I seriousaly do want this thing to happen. C'mon France, stop being such traitorous, workshy, landburning peasant-surrendermonkeys and build a truely brutal car for once !!!

I'll opt for the first option. Mainly because this car has been designed to be included in Gran Turismo (Game) and it was never intended to be a concept which could go into production.

This doesn't mean at all that if the car gets a lot of positive feedback and there's a lot of people interested with it, it might go into production. But as far as I know the only way you'll be able to drive it as it is it will be in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (hence the GT symbol in the car).

Now, someone photoshop it so it's upside down and on fire, so we can see what it will look like in the real world. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

As is customary with concept cars it will obviously never go into production but I'd so love it to.

C'mon Citroen, think about it!
People all over the world would love you for it, hell, I'd even drive to my local dealer just to congratulate them for working for such a ballsy company! Don't mind the eco-terrorists, just give them a version made out of cannabis and using a cow poo combustion hybrid engine (CPCHE, patent pending).

Holy shit...that is wonderfully, gloriously, batshit insane. images/smilies/bow.gif

I'm glad there are still designers with the cojones to do awesome, fantastical things like this. As opposed to, say, this.

This is going to turn into one of those Clarkson sayings, "If it looks like that when they make it, I'll eat my [insert body part here, leg, hair, arm, etc.]"

I'll translate the stats:
Weight : 1400 kgs (with hydrogen storage tank and "power"batteries for the overboost function) (WTF? images/smilies/wacko.gif)
0-1000m : 20.4 seconds
0-100kph : 3.6 seconds
top speed : 330 kph
range : 300 kms
CO2 emissions : 0g/km

"ELECTRIC DRIVETRAIN" fed by "combustible" battery (maybe someone can translate this better)
Power : 480 kw (646 hp)
Overboost function : +100 kw (+138 hp)

I guess you have this sort of boost button that gives you a total of 784 hp images/smilies/wacko.gif weird.

Double wishbone suspention on all 4 wheels
Michelin 245/35R21 front tyres
Michelin 295/35R21 rears

"Combustible battery" = fuel cell in English. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

The "boost" button and power batteries basically are to provide extra power to the electric motors temporarily. Press the button, and it switches in the batteries to supplement the fuel cell's output, plus switches the electric motor(s) to higher consumption, or perhaps even overload. It's the electrical equivalent of nitrous oxide.

I'm looking forward to a green future, if all green cars end up looking as mad as this thing and as fun to drive as... whatever thing is the most fun to drive.

I've just downloaded the new GT5 Prologue update, and this thing is part of a package.
Now I have to save a million $$$ to be able to afford it.

It looks menacing, really.
