What i'd prefer to see is one of those modernization things like they showed on top gear, by all accounts i've read/seen they actually drive like a piece of shit

they do drive like pieces of shit. The Renault engine is gutless and hates high revs, the car is just way too heavy and the suspension is way too soft. But the looks are just to die for. My dad used to have one in service at his garage when i was a boy. Loved the car to death until my dad took me for a spin in it.

Well, I've known about the guys in Texas for awhile, and they've been going on about possibly building cars for a while (at least to my knowledge). Being Texans, I would hope they would in the very least ditch the old engine for something like a GM/Chevy small block.

I think if they could get their hands on GM's LS4 engine, it would be perfect. All aluminum to save weight and plenty of power.

The LS would be a sweet motor, but I'd like to see them go more towards DeLorean's original hopes of a TT-V6. Holds the record for the slowest time from 0-89 mph
