What the hell is "Comfort Access"; and most importantly, why is $500!?!

the last m3 was also smg only, wasn't it?

comfort access unlocks the car as soon as you get close to it, lets you start the car by the push of a single button and adjusts the seats and mirrors automatically depending on who drives.

^^ Comfort access is a feature that lets the front seat get turn to the front more, so that you have "comfort access" to the back...

What you mean is part of the seat package... And the last Gen M3 was 6 gear as standard... Too bad on this one the SMG isn't an option... You're gonna pay extra for expensive tech you don't want. BAD move, IMO...

FATMOUSE, Metallic Paint last longer and looks nicer, you need heated seats if you use it everyday (gets down to -15° in Bavaria), the seats with width adjustment are the ones from the M5 that hold you in the corner? Wanna have... You should have listed the Nappa leather... Who needs that in a Sports car??

of course, that'd be über-premium then, with young maids that hold your cups instead of cupholders. images/smilies/wink.gif

Ooops! Sorry!
I did not read the entire list. Also, I would imagine this should be the other way around: 6 speed manual as standard and you pay for the 7 speed SMG...go figure.

But that doesnt automatically mean that the RS4 is a bad buy. JC loved the RS4, and thought it was better then an M3. I still hope he think the same after driving the new M3. images/smilies/smile.gif

^^-- The feeling will be totally different, that's for sure. Furthermore, even with all the chrome thingeys and the tyres etc. the RS4 is still totally boring to look at when compared to the M3. I'd take the M3 over the RS4 every day...I just can't stand Audi's "styling" which is basically just some lazy straight lines with wheels.

Apart from that...yeah...I've bought the wrong car images/smilies/lol.gif

It will likely hit the gas guzzler tax. So about $55,000 to $56,000, then add sales tax, and you are hitting $60,000 in most states. 307Kw, so about 411 hp. Not scaring the M5 or M6, but not bad. Although a slightly modded 335, would be faster and cheaper.

The question is with the switch to a 4.0 v8 will the engine be sitting appreciably farther back than on the 3.0 turbo? What is the weight of the 2.

335 could be faster on the straight, if you manage to get an additional 100 hp out of it. Likely since its a Turbo, but it doesn't have a LSD... All the vid reviews I have seen so far showed it smoking its rear inner tire under hard cornering...
