I can't believe a factory corvette sounds that brutal.

<sarcasm>
Maybe if someone hacks into the mainframe that controls the entire car, he finds the "Burnout Mode", where all power is sent to the back wheels and the brakes only operate the front wheels, the GT-R will be able to do that...</sarcasm>
Seriuosly: that was great, and I agree that the sound is epic.

I suspect someone who can afford a $100k+ Corvette isn't too concerned about that.

Hmm, can't decide if I prefer the sound of this to the grumble of the Viper.

I think you're missing the point. I assume you also wouldn't want to own a Lamborghini either, since getting less then 10mpg and paying for gas all the time isn't your kind of fun either.

Truth is, nothing is free. New tires? That's nothing compared to all the other costs you'll be paying for a car of this caliber.

Burnouts are dumb. I never understood where's the fun. It makes shitty noise, it smells and you can't even see anything. In addition to destroying the tires of course.

It's one of those "more fun to do than watch" things, I guess. images/smilies/dunno.gif I don't really find the appeal of burnout contests, but watching tires explode and potential crowd-massacring mayhem is pretty entertaining. Kinda like NASCAR. America, fuck yeah!

And those burnout contests use old, shredded-up junkyard tires with barely any tread on them, in case Koenig wants to whinge about spending $2000 on a new set of Pirelli PZero Corsas.
