And i am also one what wonders how this can be fun? I understand burnouts as part of drag races and stuff, which i like. But where's the fun in staying stationary and producing smoke, when you can also produce smoke, injure your neck muscles, and be 1/4 mile from where you started 10 seconds later.

Yeah, speeding away from red lights with squealing and smoking tires is fun, drifting with smoking tires is fun, but I never got the fun in standing around and smoking my tires up images/smilies/smile.gif

But uh, everyone is free to do what they want with their tires images/smilies/smile.gif

Yes the GT-R wont do this , but it will spin its tires 0.2 of a second and 3.5 seconds later it will be doing 100 km/h

The ZR1 3.5 seconds later will be stopped by the police and get a ticket for agressive driving

Here's good one for ya: I don't. I would not buy a Ferrari with my own money even if I could afford to buy the entire company. Old ones like F355 and 250 GTO and such yes. But a new ferrari made in the 21st century ? Nnnnno. They are butt ugly (subjective), lack the "wow" factor being too geeky nowadays and they are the ultimate footballers car. Ferrari is the obvious choice.

As for that ZR-1 video.......omg. I need that sound in my life.

What about the Enzo? Surely that has some wow factor, and not everybody can own one either.

The Enzo is a hideous heap of ugly. The fact that it's fast is not a wow factor to me, and the fact that you have to be invited to own one makes it even more of a cock's car.

I dunno, man. I feel like those days a Porsche or a Lambo would be the obvious choice. Fezzas' only trump card seems to be the way they drive when pushed to the limit, and sooner than later, they're gonna become the car for true car connoseurs. The public doesn't view Lambo in a lesser light than Ferarri, mostly because nobody cares about F1 anymore. Therefore, footballers don't see Lambos in a lesser light either. I've seen some decently cock-looking people driving Aston Martins, so I really think the cool tables are about to turn in the supercar world.

Even next to an LP640 and a Carrera GT, the Enzo has huge presence. It doesn't make me want it for whatever reason, but I do think it's a helluva lot cooler than any Ferrari that came after it. In my opinion any current Lamborghini looks better than the entire current Ferrari range combined. Plus it seems like F430s and 599s are bought by rich assholes more than anyone else (excluding Jacobfox's father of course).

As for the ZR1, both the Z06 and standard C6 look better, but the ZR1 will be epic. There was one at the Meadowbrook Concours and it sounded much better than I expected.

A factory fitted prancing horse badge isn't worth $100k.

I think the problem is people start comparing cars like the Corvette to cars like Ferrari's, based solely on performance. But then they immediately start criticizing the cheaper car for things unrelated to performance.

There is a very good reason why a stripped down base model Porsche 911 is still twice as much as a Corvette. [captain obvious] Because it has a nicer interior among other things. [/captain obvious]

There's nothing to say against the current Vette, all models are great cars. There just is no point in doing burnouts. images/smilies/smile.gif

Hey speak for yourself. I plan on being able to comfortably afford a car like that.

And I have seen a Enzo in person. It looks absolutely....incredible. Its a car you lust for, the Enzo is.

I might agree with a Ferrari, they are a bit too expensive for a large majority of people on this forum. However the ZR-1 is "only" a 100K new, I'm sure a couple of years down the line it would drop enough so that some "regular" people would be able to afford it.
