Haha, great video - I really enjoyed it. That guy's a pretty good presenter actually.

Good to see the California have the guts to back it up. Although looks are always suggestive and debatable, performance isn't and it looks like the California's a fantastic car to drive.

No, the car looks okay (I still think the F40 is the pinnacle of Ferrari styling), but the fake exhaust tips ruin it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_bu...haracteristics

""Ricing" a vehicle is meant to emulate the aesthetic work of independent automotive car tuning companies who modify more than just appearance, and to give an appearance of greater ability than the car actually has."

Which is exactly what Ferrari's done with the fake exhaust.

I laughed out loud at the guy driving it like a maniac on public roads and just talking without the slightest hint of intimidation in his voice.

Can you live with the thought of spending 200 grand on a Ferrari and having it look like this?

Definitely. The original pics I hated but I don't know why, and I am certainly not saying its classically beautiful. But I think it is a fabulous looking car. I love it. Hints of the 575.

very good presenter indeed. And regarding the 430 comment, the original cali of the vast 250 series was alot softer and cushier(relatively) than some of the other ones in its bloodline, but it still remains popular and has its own market and fanbase and it did then as well. You're really telling me you dont see people who would buy the kinda cutesy trendy brand new(think of the demographic) fake exhaust(Ferrari, CALIFORNIA remember) comfy probably more solid feeling less complicated easy little super gt sports car as opposed to a (again, relatively) harsh mid-engine virtually trunkless (relatively) OLD (its been a few years) super sporty screamy light yeah good to drive in a sporty kind of uncomfortable sort of way big(ish) supercar...

and on the ugly comment...c'mon compare it to similar metal almost all of which is older designs and whatever else you could buy. Dont bring up that stupid Aston that looks like every other Aston for the past decade and is a Bond sell out.

"Yeah its my new aston"

'Oh i saw one of those the other day'

"Well you sure it was this one cuz this the kind of shorter version that looks the same and the other one is a bit longer and you can tell the difference because this one is more exclusive and you can tell cuz it has the....hey where you goin?"

Why they had to make it look so ghastly? Looks like it would be a good car, although they should make it a flat $100k usd

Speaking of fake exhausts:

Lamborghini LP640:

http://pic.phyrefile.com/a/an/anonymous/2008/11/06/lp640_exhausts.jpg

Audi R8:

http://pic.phyrefile.com/a/an/anonymous/2008/11/06/r8_exhausts.jpg

Bugatti Veyron:

http://pic.phyrefile.com/a/an/anonymous/2008/11/06/veyron_exhausts.jpg

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. But I agree, it's a shame that Ferrari had to do this as well. But there must be some reason to it, and as long as you can't actually see the fake exhausts inside, I'm fine with it.

If you don't like the styling then don't buy it.. oh wait, you can't afford it in the first case... in which case why would Ferrari care what you think anyway?!
