Geneva 2008: Fioravanti Hidra
    Italian design house Fioravanti is marking its 20th anniversary with the Hidra, a sporty, but versatile-looking five-door. It's described as a 'multi-purpose coupe', and it features a patented design for its roof and window sections. Developed from last year's Thalia concept - a sort of glass-topped Pope-mobile - it seats five under its H-shaped roof. The main point of the Hidra, however, is to show off Fioravanti's structural design capabilities. It is built around a central longitudinal spine, which allows for space-efficient packaging of hydrogen tanks, batteries, fuel cells and other components in alternative-fuel powertrains.
