Default GM's Buyout Program More Succesful Than First Thought....

...Which marks the first time in years, the words "GM" and "Success" have appeared in the same sentence.

Linky

Seems almost 40,000 workers, instead of the orginally planned 30,000, are taking GM up on their buyout offer. If the workers are happy, this isn't so much a bad thing.

That's not success, that's everyone trying to get on the last lifeboat on the Titanic while the crew rearranges the deck chairs.

They offered more to the workers in Germany (well in relative terms=, come on this offer was great for the US. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif I still dont like those stuid benefits images/smilies/thumbdown.gif They should support the Neo-Classical model and just get rid of them... images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Actually untrue. Legacy costs are crippling GM right now and will continue to haunt their bottom line into the future. If GM can go through a short term painful buyout program, they will be in a much stronger financial position long term. GM is on the rise...slowly.
