I found the new 7-series???
About a week or two ago I was walking through downtown Vienna and I found this car that I am pretty sure is the new 7-series. You can see the tape covering the BMW logos and a few body lines and such. I tried to get a photo of the inside, but the buildings were reflecting in the glass and wouldn't give me a shot of anything in the inside. But I can tell you that there was a large LCD screen screwed into the dash (not built into it) that was attached to a large box of some kind with about twenty wires coming out of the box and leading to various places around the car.

I heard that there will be a new 7-series but...so little camouflage and parked at downtown vienna? Also i can notice differences(and not dramatic ones) only in the rear. Maybe just a very small facelift?

Well if you do a Google image search for "new 7-series spy photos", then one of the results points to one of those computer generated art sketches with the tag "2009 7-series". And it looks exactly like my photos.

Oh...didn't know. If that is the case then BMW should really try harder...esthetically at least.

The most extreme car i ever saw (or will see for that matter) pre-production was one time i was in germany and i caught a CLK-GTR. Un-freaking-believable.

Interesting, I saw the exact same car parked in front of my friend's apartment in Munich. Exact same car but in white, with the tape.

Still makes me want to gauge my eyes out. I'll stick with an A8 or S-class, or if I wanna save money and get some style, I'll get an E38 7-series.
That being said, I am not a large sedan person. |
