Uhm, isn't that the new 3-series?![]()
I emailed the photos to Motor Week today and they got back!!
From a guy named Mike MonticelloWe appreciate the photos, but BMW has already released official photos without disguise, which we just ran in our October issue, and have already put online. BMW is odd about new cars—they will continue to run their cars disguised until they officially go on sale in Europe—that’s my guess as to why that car still had tape on it.
look like a 5-series from the back, and why those large nostrils ? 7-series got a hobby we don't know about ?
yet again it will only be bought for the badge by audi owners
My guess is, the current 7 is mainly bought by people who loved their 5s and got richer. The 7-series doesn't have much of a reputation in Europe, unlike the S-class, or BMW's own X5.
Does anyone know someone who bought a 7? If so, please share what you know. The forces behind what people buy are fascinating.
Well, friend of mine's dad had an e32 that's as old as me, and has probably driven the distance to the moon already, but still seems to be running nicely...
But as for new sevens? the only time I ever see them, are politicians driving around in munich (or rather, being driven, one would assume).
OK, maybe I'm exaggerating, you do see a bunch on the autobahn without politicians plates, but still. There are a shizload of politicians being carted around in those. Apparently they get them for greatly reduced prices, like 30k or some crazy shiznit.

Looks like a Japanese car trying to look like a German car.

not as good as the E32

which in turn is not as good as the e38... but I guess that would have been to expensive for you... I was actually thinking of getting one.... but tax, insurance and gasoline would have eaten me up.
