This horsepower power is going bit insane. Okay great, 600 horsepower sounds great and all but so what, it shouldn't me the only reason for introducing new model.

they already started marketing the 4.8 X5 as an M-sport model even if they don't really want an ///M SUV.

love it, well if Audi is putting twins on their V10 and Merc twins in their V12 it seems BMW has some catch up to do. who knows, maybe a supercharged 6.3 AMG? i love forced induction!

BMW M was also against putting a manual tranny in the M5 since it was designed only for the SMG, but BMW NA forced it upon them. Guess market demand will always win out.

There is already some bloke who twin turbo'ed his M5, and he lives in CA or SF if i can remember correctly... Its in the featured in the BMW mag, the M5 kicks out insane torque and massive hp, 800+ just to spice things up a bit, although the driver wont be running it at full boost for daily driving. And if memory serves me right, i think the turbos are not mounted under the bonnet, its mounted at the back of the wastegate, close to the exhaust.

580 hp RS6, twin turbo m5, what's next? probably a merc E65 AMG...
ze germans have gone mad, and the lucky sods who can afford these cars will really benefit...
