Car: McLaren Mercedes MP4/23 :P Rep Power: 18 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Maserati MC12 Corsa You wanna be in Maserati's gang? Then you'd better be a favourite customer if you want to get your paws on the MC12 Corsa. Based on the MC12 GT1 racer, the Corsa will only be offered to 12 of Maserati's most loyal punters. In a similar vein to the Ferrari FXX, MC12 Corsa drivers pay one million Euros (£700,000) for the privilege of driving the car. The MC12 Corsa programme is also similar to its Ferrari cousin, in that the Corsa will be purely for track events organised by Maserati and there will be no road-going version. Those invited to join the Corsa programme simply turn up, drive their car and enjoy being part of the Maserati racing team. Maserati takes care of the rest, including transporting the car to events, preparing it and servicing it afterwards. Owners can personalise their cars with the colours they choose, although Maserati is quite keen to promote its 'Victory Blue' colour scheme after winning the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers' cup. The GT1 racer has donated much of its running gear to the Corsa, which uses the same 6.0-litre V12 engine. For the Corsa, the engine has been tuned to produce 755bhp at a screaming 8,000rpm. The gearbox is a full race version of Maserati's Cambiocorsa sequential manual 'box. Slick-shod 18in race alloy wheels fill out the wheelarches nicely, while the aerodynamics are identical to the race car's to produce enormous grip in high-speed corners. Maserati is keeping Mamma Mia about performance figures, but expect the MC12 Corsa to see off the standard MC12's 0-60mph time of 3.7 seconds, while top speed will be determined by the Corsa's gearing for a particular track. With more than 100bhp more than the standard MC12, less weight and no road-going fripperies, we definitely wanna be in the Corsa's gang. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I must admit not the more fearsome name, but man that is one nice looking car. I already love the MC-12 and this one just looks that little bit more aggressive and menacing, like the FFX. One question I do have about the Corsa, and the FFX for that matter, is sure you get to drive the car at their track events, but once the program is finished and they have collected the data that they say will be used for future projects, do you get to keep the car? I know it wouldn't be road legal, but do they give it to you to use at your own leisure for track days etc. or even just to keep in your collection to look at. Or do Ferrari and Maserati take the car back to store in some huge warehouse hidden from the rest of the world?

But then again if you are one of Ferrari or Maserati's top of the top customers then you probably wouldn't blink at the price and would happily pay it just so you can show off to all your friends who didn't get offered one even if you don't get to keep it. ![]()

| Most likely, I think they (Ferrari for the FXX and Masi for the Corsa), will take the cars after their worthiness is over (it wouldn't be if I got my hands on one ), and place them in various museums and collections. | |

| That car just screams "tough as fuck". I would love to drive one around, but it sounds like Maserati still owns it after you buy it?
