Most reviews I have read seem to be praising the car.

Funny, the first few seconds of the video, i though "great, another Chevy badged Daewoo".
The nose is nice actually; back is hideous and the interior, I don't even know what to say about it. Tacky, overdone, weird and ugly. Cruze, I'd actually consider it if I were in a market for a small car; this, not in a million fucking years.

The sedan is fugly as hell, but the hatch is pretty nice.

I'd like it more if there was a coupe version. Tiny sedans look odd, and hatches rarely do anything for me.

To me, this is one of the ugliest cars I've seen in a while. I think it's the headlight clusters. I've read more than a couple reviews where they do mention that it seems to be the 'fun-to-drive' choice in the segment.

Instrument cluster failure leads to total lack of desireability.

I have driven and worked on both the Cruze and Sonic in the past week. The Sonic, what I like is the head lights. Thats about it. The rear tail lights are way too big for the proportions of the vehicle and the gauge cluster looks retarded. I drove the 1.8 and you have to beat the shit out of the engine for it to do anything, even then it does not.

The Cruze however is better in pretty much every aspect except in the headlight department. Much better interior. I drove the Cruze in the 1.4 turbo trim and the engine is fantastic. I would say it is reasonably quick. And in RS trim it looks pretty damn good.

Now I know you can get the Sonic with the 1.4 turbo, but I would not have it over a 1.4 turbo Cruze.

This 100%. I don't mind the sedan at all, but the interior (specifically that gauge cluster that looks as if it were ripped off a goddamn Power Wheel toy) of both the sedan and hatch look like awful, tacky piles of shit.

Many many positive reviews on the Sonic Turbo hatch, I'm already putting it on the list as a second car/daily driver in place of the aging M3. Between this and the Hyundai Veloster, some good hatch options out there for our market.

Word of warning, If you have wide feet, avoid the manual version. Pedals are very close together and cramped. Had a hard time driving it with my size 13 feet.

I've been meaning to go drive this and the Cruze. I love the look of the hatch, but the sedan just looks, odd somehow. Don't start me on how much I want a Cruze. **

**opinions may change pending test drive.

Hah, funny, I think the opposite: The hatch looks odd to me yet the sedan looks great. I feel the same about the Rio.

GM had several at the Washington Auto Show and I kinda liked it. It is comparible to the Fiesta in most ways but I think I'd rather have the Sonic.
