Default Official: 2007 Honda CR-V revealed(Your opinion?)

Quote:
Following numerous leaks, Honda has released official high-res images of the 2007 CR-V crossover. The revamped model has a lower center of gravity (reduced by 35mm), wider stance (increased by 30mm) and a number of changes to steering and suspension geometry for improved handling. The all-wheel-drive ststem has also been improved with a revised "Real Time 4WD" that detects front wheel slip and promptly sends torque rearwards. As revealed in past spy shots and leaked photos, the CR-V gets a new windowline, which Honda hopes will give it a more car-like appearance. The spare wheel has been removed from the tailgate and is now found under the load compartment floor. The vehicle will be offered with radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control and a "Collision Mitigation Braking System" that will automatically brake if a collision is imminent. Active headlights are another high-tech feature added to the CR-V. Power comes from a 166 horsepower inline-four engine with 161 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission will be the only option in America. Base price is expected to be around $21,000. Contrary to rumors, the U.S. and European versions are identical.

It's good looking with the exception of that front end. Damn, what were they thinking? images/smilies/wacko.gif

I was thinking of the M class too. The silvery color helped too.
But i think it's kinda of ugly.

Another example of a non-Euro company trying to be Euro and FAILING. That front end is messed up.

The first CRV was kinda allrite but the second one was shit. It looked ugly and spec-wise wasn't as good as its competitors. This one looks to be a step in the right direction - it's continuing with Honda's new found funky image on the inside.

I dont know, I find the front end really modern and abit aggressive. I do like the styling of this but Ive always thought that they were abit useless. Firstly, they're useless at offroading and they're engines were tuned for smoothness, not towing. So what was the point? Its the same with the RAV4, and X3. They're all so pointless imo.

I can see Volvo in the back end. The center console is a disaster, I hate the ones with that little bit that pokes out for the shifter. Who ever designed the front end needs to be strapped to it during a crash test - it's remenicent of some American cars from the 1950s, and I don't mean the cool ones.

Apart from the front end, that looks really nice. The interior especially looks wonderful!

Interior's very nice, but I can't find a good word to say about the exterior - the front is just hideous, and the curved profile of the glasshouse really doesn't work (dare I say, it looks Korean).

Overall I like it. The CRV is evolving nicely. I am not wild about the placement of the front grill and the shape of the rear quarter windows.

Well..

The front is suffering the Aztec or Kyron syndrome. The back is waaaaay to busy, and it just has a weird look that looks like it's grinning at you or something? I just can't put my finger on that one... The Doorline is screwed up too.

Well, the exterior is just wrong and is a hodge-podge of different styling cliches. The side window profile looks like it's from a VW Beetle (I'm sure the Honda boffins would say Porsche 911 though), the front and rear are too bitsy, and the interior looks like it was designed by Casio.

That front 3/4 view makes the car look really dumpy.

It looks like a pure copy of the Chrysler Pacifica

Of course its ugly when Chrysler did it. Now that Honda did it though it looks pimp! images/smilies/biggrin.gif

If by "looks like a pure copy" then you mean "they're both silver, so they're exactly the same", then sure. images/smilies/welcome.gif btw, not flaming you or anything.

It certainly is unique, but the designers got too creative with the front and carved it up into little bits. The rest looks huge, and the rear is too busy, but the interior is terrific.

I think the Chrysler is much more refined and luxurious. I would say the Honda looks rather cut up, too butch, and that interior reminds more of a minivan. That said - insecure men, and moms who wished they had a sex change after college reportedly cant wait.
