Those rims just look plasticy and ugly. Other than that, a nice and bold design.

I like it. All the styling is very good and that white interior is really nice-looking. Hope it goes as good as it looks.

That could actually be a good thing. Universal love usually means an object is missing something.

If it's real aluminum I can accept it, but it does look like plastic in the photos. As for Mercedes: how the mighty have fallen... I remember the construction on my parents' 1983 300 D Turbo. That car was wonderful inside, and the second most comfortable car I have ever driven. It saddens me greatly to see how far they have fallen since the glory days.

Is it just me or are the doors way too disproportionate? I know the front doors should be longer than the rears, but those front doors look really big. Also, why did they put the GM badge waaaaay down there? On the whole, I like the design much better than the outgoing model.
I read somewhere that the CTS is going to compete more with the 5-series opening up room at the bottom for a smaller Caddy. The redesigned BLS should be what will slot below the CTS. The old DTS and STS will merge in the next generation to be the range topper. Cadillac is going all Euro on us!

It actually looks fine to me. It makes sense to give the front seats larger openings because you have to get in around the steering wheel and such, also there is always a driver but passengers may or may not be present. That model is designed to appeal to the Junior Executive crowd who typically don't have kids to haul around. About the most they will do is take co-workers to lunch or the airport. It makes it look more coupe-ish than it would with shorter front doors. It also accentuates the length of the hood.

Ford tried have smaller rear doors on their local car here and got panned for it (mind you they were also a wierd shape and as a result getting in the back seats was difficult)

The BLS replacement has me in high(ish) hopes, small caddy and rwd the size of a 3 series? Where do I sign up? If the new CTS is anywhere near as good as Lutz is trying to convince us it is, the BLS replacement will probably rock.
