Prodrive Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Prodrive has tuned the 4.3 litre V8 engine to raise peak power from 380 hp to 425 hp, as well as increasing peak torque from 302 lb/ft to 325 lb/ft. This reduces the car's 0-62 mph time from 5.0 secs to 4.7 secs (est).

Prodrive has worked with suspension specialists, Bilstein and Eibach, to develop new driver-adjustable suspension. A switch in the cockpit allows the driver to choose between normal and sports mode. The normal mode has been designed to enhance the V8 Vantage’s existing ride and handling characteristics, while the firmer sports mode delivers an even more focussed driving experience on the road or for track use.

The engine performance pack has a modified exhaust system with a low back pressure sports catalyst and a driver-controlled switch to manually override the V8 Vantage’s exhaust valve. This gives the option of a quiet mode, where the valve is permanently closed; auto, where the valve operates as it does on the standard car; and sport mode, where the valve is permanently open (where conditions allow).

For me its like one of those pretty girls you see on the street, yea shes hot but...theres really nothing too special about her. It looks almost exactly like the other astons except maybe a lil girlier, and my amazement w/ astons styling went away after the DB9 Volante

Basically, it just looks like 'a nice sports car' and nothing else, a lil carbon fiber on the spoiler aint gunna change that

i think this version is what the V8 should have been orginally,well maybe not as much for the engine output...but im hoping that when prodrive says they made the midrange more responsive, they actually mean it...because that was one of the car's biggest faults.

This car is finally getting the proper performance it has always needed, now it'll be as fast as it is loud. Still looks pretty as well, the new aero stuff hasn't spoilt it's looks.

Hubba hubba - one of my favourite cars just got better - though they can leave the rear carbon lip spoiler off mine thanks all the same.

I'll take the engine upgrades anyday but I'd prefer the normal Aston wheels. Other than that, it's near perfect images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Very nice, though I'd prefer the standard wheels, they look a lot better and fit the fine subtleness of the car more.
Still: great work Prodrive, finally a tuner that seems to really try to enhance a car, not just strapping a turbo on and making the car look ridiculous. Thats one of the first Aston tuning jobs i'd actually buy if i had that car.

My thoughts exactly. The carbon lip is somewhat excessive, but I just LOVED the wheels...

Very nice bodykit, looks really well on it, although the carbon lip on the bootlid is a bit tacky on an Aston imho. It'd look so much better painted to match the body. The carbon lip on the front bumper does look pretty good however and the wheels are just images/smilies/drool.gif
