Hold on a second. Just because it has controls for the rear passengers to play with, and some fake wood, it doesn't mean it's luxury. To nick from another member, as Clarksonious once said (early AD sometime):
"As well equipped as an Egyptian's lavatory." Albeit a 'luxury' one. Quilted bog roll and everything... Anyway, who would buy it. I'm still recovering from the Lada Riva...

Believe me, there are loads of "quite wealthy" russian business men who give a great deal about their private security. I mean guys who actually have people guarding their homes with machine guns. These people don't have the cleanest possible history, but it is pretty much survival of the fittest in the russian business world. The price for somebody to get whacked is...well...nothing actually, 10-15 years ago it was something like10-15k$....
My father used to do business alot with them in the 90's.....boy some of his stories are entertaining and at the same time, a bit disturbing. Mind you he wasn't some big time mob boss, he is/was on the perfect position: enjoy all the luxuries of his friends but doesn't have to concern himself with any of the darker side of those guys.

Say what you want about the interior as long as we're fantasizing I'll have the insides redone by pininfarina. Looking at the SUV version makes me a little horny...

Damn, if they were trying for a 21st century LM002, they hit the nail right on the head. Lambo ought to take over this company and make it their own.

I still don't get why anybody would buy it? If you are THAT worried about your life get a real APC (I assume Russia has a few laying around), they claim the top model can take a hit from a rpg, but that doesn't mean the force wouldn't flip the car. Sure the cabin might be intact but if you're on your side and somebody is willing to attack you with a RPG they're going to get you. You need the sharp edges to deflect the RPG.
And if you only sort of car, you just are afraid of a drivebye or something there are better options that are actually luxury for much cheaper. |

![]() Another point why anyone (in Russia) would buy one is that image is everything. You can live in a beat down small flat, eat nothing but mac&cheese but if you drive an S-Class = approved. They are seriously paranoid about that kind of stuff. And this car reeeeally does do the trick, if you want to look like you are somebody.

It is not about personal safety, nomatter what features you can get installed on it. It's the same as Hummers, a very cool looking car with a poor gas milage (although i am sure it will be more than potent offroad). Basically a thing of "coolness". Will be huge amongst Russian wealthy.
The problem is here, there aren't much helicopters in Russia , and most of the rich ppl live in their 5-10 mil $ mansions 30-200 km outside large towns like Moscow, St.Peterbourgh and a few others. In order to get to there you need a car with good offroad capabilities, and you don't have much choice. Rangerovers and Landrovers, Cayennes, Lexuses are everywhere, a fleet of them, and anyway they are for middle class business folk, not considered cool in any way. Ferraries and Supercars simply cannot be driven upthere, so you need stuff like that, and believe it or not a lot of Rich ppl have something similar to the "COMBAT", from like private orders or custom cars.
