I was not trying to make anything look better. The power GM was getting out of the Quad-4 in the 80s was impressive though.

This company has nothing to do with THAT Shelby.

It's a completely different/new company. They haven't done shit, and they have no past. Please refer to them as SSC, not Shelby, to avoid confusion.
Yup! I learned about them from the DuPont registry, Shelby Super Cars, rite?

COMPLETELY unrelated to Carol Shelby

No one was buying. They are starting to get back into it though.

and how many were produced and sold?

and that saleen is just a shitty shopping trolley with a rocket in it. The SSC is also a POS rickety old cart with a rocket in it. And WHO of these supercar makers, other than Bugatti, has ACTUALLY PROVED their claims? It's all bullshit. These cars couldn't touch a McLaren F1, let alone the King and Koenigsegg.

Fanboys, wake up and smell the tyre smoke, until the American supercar.... images/smilies/lmao.gif BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH images/smilies/lmao.gif .... sorry about that. Unitl the American supercar.... images/smilies/lol.gif .....industry actually proves what it can or can't do, it's a waste of time.

The problem with American supercar manufacturers is that they are usually building race cars first and road cars second. Both the S7 and the MT900 are really just race cars with nicer interiors. They are good race cars and handle better than their Eurp rivals but not so much good road cars. At the moment this is the real difference between American supercar manufacturers and the competition.

Since the veyron was introduced and VW claimed that it could reach 400km/h lots of companies are now also willing to enter the 400 club .
And it's always interesting and fun to have competitors .
So far only the veyron established this speed but if Saleen , shelby or koenigsegg are able to do it soon , they will stimulate other to do the same and 400 will be as common as 300 today .(so perhaps in 20 years time BMW will make a 257miles M5 8) hope so)
in my opinion the race has just begun
