Default Spied : 2008 Chrysler 300c Facelift

Quote:
Spy photographers have snapped some photos of a facelifted Chrysler 300C prototype. The car has new headlights — which are visible sans disguise — and new taillights. From the five test cars that have been spotted to date, only the tail-ends have been covered in camouflage, suggesting the changes to the rear might be more significant.

Some of the most extensive changes might come to the interior, where a complete overhaul is said to be planned. Speaking to the Automotive Press Association in May, Ralph Gilles, vice president of design at the Chrysler Group said, "we need an update you're going to see a significant improvement in the interior of that car."

Links are broked. Be interesting to see if they come up with something much better in looks, feel and overall quality. Then they just need to sort out the handling! images/smilies/tongue.gif

Is that first pic of the front a facelift? 'cause I know i've seen that before..

I wonder what they've done with the back, though.

The 300 is a good looking car already imo. They should have just given it a better interior.

Its just a facelift - I'm not expecting anything radically different.

Gee the wheels on this pressumably entry level model don't suit the car...

That's not a facelift.... that's like "a light shave".

It looks like the squished the front end down. I prefer the original.

The front change is miniscule at best, you can still see a difference, but wonder why bother?

Here's the current 300 front, compair it to the above base model front.

I prefer the current one... that headlight gives a nice touch with the semi-circunference detail.

Agree. The new ones will just make the car look like-any-other-car.

Ok, homiez. Just in case there was still any confusion, the Chrysler with the square headlights is of the base model (V6), known simply as the 300, and the ones with the slightly rounded headlights are of the Hemi (V8 ), known as the 300C. The front hasn't been changed (at least not the headlight shape, and I certainly don't think anything's changed).

Base Chrysler 300:
http://www.tripple.net/upload/autoneuwagen/20050128193056-chrysler_300_base_front_3_4view__mid.jpg_bb0005conf.jpg

Hemi Chrylser 300C:
http://www.autointell.com/nao_companies/daimlerchrysler/chrysler/chrysler-300c/chrysler300c-scenic-front-cut-350-194.jpg

And for shits n'giggles, Chrylser 300C SRT-8:
http://www.edmunds.com/media/news/column/carmudgeon/the.weekend/04.chrysler.300c.srt8.500.jpg

So the facelift hasn't made the front headlight more square. In fact, I don't really know what's changed in the front. The back, however, comes with the more aerodynamic ass-bra to keep the rear end clean. images/smilies/tongue.gif

Also, thankfully they're upgrading the interior, one of the major problems with the 300.
