Don't knock the Jetta down. It's the best selling VW in North America, which makes it one of the most important cars for Volkswagen. Anyway, these are the spy shots of the Jetta Mk6.
This is the "New Compact Sedan" aimed to rival the Civic, Corolla, and Sentra. The NCS is different to all Jetta's before it; This time it's not just a Golf with a boot it an all new saloon developed to be independent.

Actually, If I remember right, this will be the first Jetta to be completely style-independent from the Golf/Rabbit, and may be engineered to be lower-priced to more directly compete with the likes of the Mazda 3 and Civic.

I have a Mexican made Jetta from 2006 and it has been flawless. I have almost 48k on it at this point and love it to death.
The only thing that holds me back from getting GTI is the fact that it like a blob on wheels. All of the VW models are just... plain jane, no real identity.
