Toyota needs to build this now. I was at the State fair auto show over the weekend and when surveying the Toyota area, I just saw a bunch of washing machines. Hell, even my dad agreed that all of the cars Toyota makes are boring.

Good lord. What is with all these new coupes looking like GTR rip offs? Yes the shape might be more aerodynamic but still it's horrible looking. Are there no good car designers out there anymore?

it could be better looking but at least its not boring... and it has RWD! if this goes into production, my respect for Toyota may just slowly start inching back up.

I want this car really badly.

In fact, in black, if you could get the headlights to light up red, it would be biblical.

Anyone want to shop that for me?

Also, this is at the top of my list for cars when I'm done with grad school.

What's this? An interesting, good-looking, RWD coupe from Toyota?? My eyes must be deceiving me...

Memo to Toyota - build it. Build it NOW.

From the looks of the buttons around it, that would be for slotting a CD in.

Then the CD surface being scratched by the metal zipper on its way in and out.

That's almost an Italian level of 'character' in a car.

The zippers could be coated with teflon.

Perhaps Toyota have realised that there's only so far you can go with "utility motoring", to get the largest market share you need that little bit of flair they've been missing so far. Can you imagine Toyota reliability and quality in a car that looks good, is fun to drive and cheap.. the other manufacturers should be worried if that's where they're taking this.

The nose looks like ass, but Toyota needs to build cars like this.

Toyota does need a car like this. They've needed one for a long time. I just wish it didn't look like so many other cars. (370Z, GT-R). Great idea, just make it a little more unique and you got a winner. It will probably will be a winner anyway if they have the balls to make it. They then enter it in drifting competitions and some motorsport.

Does Toyota do motorsport anymore?

And that radio is seriously going to cause wrecks. Try running on a treadmill with a case around your iPod. The case obscures the wheel if its not on just right. I don't know how many times I've lost balance trying to change a song when that happens (maybe its just me). Now imagine some kid fumbling the dash to change a song on the freeway... BAM (no Emmerill is not in the car)

oh yeah, I forgot about the NASCAR thing. I like were their spirit is, but not the reality. Race on Sunday, Buy on Monday" sort of thing. But Nascar? I can't see any technological innovations that Toyota would get out of that. Not that GM or Ford gets much.

Plus you can't do hybrids in Nascar.

FT = Future Toyota... like the LF = Lexus Future

I'm digging that. I'd even consider buying one, and this is coming from someone who thinks their personal idea of hell is sitting in any Toyota.
