that back is awful,a ndif theyre notplanning to make the bumber and skirts out of i wood they should change the color. Volvos are loong prety good nowadays(ive actualy liked the old ones too)

Seems pretty much like a hatch version of the S40, almost the same front and interior. Competitor for the A3, 1-series, A-class and so on...

The performance versions also receive a Garrett turbocharger with variable vane geometry.

In 3.2-liter guise the new six-cylinder produces 238 hp at 6000 rpm along with 236 lb-ft of torque at 3500 rpm, an increase of 42 hp and 26 lb-ft over Volvo’s current 2.9-liter five-cylinder engine. The light-pressure turbocharged unit delivers 285 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, while the top-of-the-line high-pressure turbo engine pumps out 350 hp and 332 lb-ft.

Beyond the S80, Ford is mum on plans for the SI6 engines. It’s likely the hottest ones will appear in future Focus RS models in Europe, Jaguar’s sport-tuned R versions and Volvo’s R performance cars.

If there was a plan to stuff the six into the RS, why not do the same for a Volvo C30R

I think a street-storming Volvo is quite possibly the coolest idea ever. They have to put that engine in!

From the front it looks like a really cool car bur from the back it looks like the sort of car my grandad would buy. Also I expected a bit more of a futuristic looking interior.

This car shows how much Volvo have improved though as it is the first volvo i've seen that I want to buy. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Reminds me strongly of the Fiat Stilo (especially the rear), like the center console they adopted from the S40.
