I'm sorry but I don't really get how people make such a huge deal out of the GT-R being like this God of the Nurburgring when cars like these are even faster.

As some people know, I don´t like to quote the supertest, but the Sport Auto people tested a version which (at least allegedly) has german showroom specs. They did a 7:38, and they don´t even go for a full lap. On it´s own, that time is still very impressive, especially if you consider the price of the GT-R. But Nissan managed to make it look slow by making insane claims.

Why the hell don´t they just give it a rest? The GT-R is an awesome machine, why spoil it?

I mean, this time is awesome considering the price of the car, but I agree with the others that these 'Ring arguments about times need to stop. Cars can be good even if they're a couple of seconds slower, especially when the companies are all tuning the cars so that they are perfect for the 'Ring. I mean, relatively the times are important in terms of minutes, but give or take about 5 seconds, they're equal.

Any car that can lap the ring sub 8 mins is a good car.
