Atari's 'Design a Car' Contest for Test Drive Unlimited

Atari Australia have today announced a contest to design a concept car that, if selected, will be featured in the full version of Test Drive Unlimited, due for local release in September.

For those slow types not up to speed with Test Drive Unlimited, you need to do two things. Firstly, get ya head out of them clouds and secondly, read the following.

With that out of the way, here comes the part you future car designers will need..

Become a part of this incredible world by entering the “Test Drive Unlimited – Be a Car Designer” contest and earn your rightful place beside the world’s most magnificent vehicles. Car enthusiasts, novice designers, gamers and artists are invited to create an image of their dream concept car for the “Test Drive Unlimited – Be a Car Designer” contest.

The Grand Prize Winner will have their car design implemented in Test Drive Unlimited as a fully functioning 3D vehicle driving alongside the world’s most recognisable cars such as the Lamborghini, Ferrari and Aston Martin. A monetary prize of $2,500 will also be awarded to the winning designer. All entrants are encouraged to draw on their fresh imaginations and invent original inspired vehicles that may be seen by millions.

The “Test Drive Unlimited – Be a Car Designer” contest officially began on May 15, 2006. All entries must be received before 11:59:59 pm EST on June 30, 2006. The voting period begins at 12:00:01 am PST July 1, 2006 and ends at 11:59:59 pm PST July 10, 2006. The Entry with the highest combination of number of votes and overall rating at the end of the voting period is the grand prize winner of the Contest. Test Drive Unlimited will be available in September 2006 for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the Windows platform.

I dont know, i was going to send in a hand drawing lol but after seeing the designs that have been sent in allready i think ill pass..
