Badass single player WWII game???

I need me a badass WWII game. I don't really like playing online, I love single player FPS types, anything like that to recommend?

Well, if you have a PS2, Medal Of Honor: Frontline or Rising sun have been favorites of mine.

Medal of Honor as well. Allied Assault was fucking great back then... Outdated graphic wise....

Are you looking for historical accuracy? If not, Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a fun title if a bit old. (quake 3 engine, just like Allied Assault)

IIRC, Return to Castle Wolfenstein was particularly good with that.
Of course I might be biased since one of my first favorite games was the old Apple II Castle Wolfenstein game (and Wolfenstein 3D).

even the first Call of Duty game is pretty awesome outdated graphics at this point but you should be able to find it cheap or get it via "other" means

Very realistic but outdated graphics is Red Orchestra.

For most CS like stuff, DOD or DOD:S (Day of Defeat)

In the original Call of Duty (PC) you snipe for quite a while as a Russian soldier. I played that game through about three or four times. It's also cool because many of the parts from the game seem to be pulled from scenes of Band of Brothers.

Well I'm getting a few games, but I was just playing return to castle wolfenstien, not exaclty what I was looking for, but a great game. I was playing it with dragonforce playing, worked out very nice! images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Yeah, Call of Duty is fucking sweet... I even started to play it for a second round, but then some bug didn't let me continue in the story and I only had 1 savegame... images/smilies/sad.gif

Allied Assult rocks yes its abit outdated, theres alot of sniping in it btw. The expansion backs are darn good as well

Just got Call of Duty 2 and it's brilliant! Only drawback is that your character seems a bit too invincible. I still haven't figured out the health system entirely (only played for a few minutes so far). Other than that, I really like it images/smilies/biggrin.gif
