Default Comic-Con 2008

My friend invited me to Comic-Con this year, it was my first time so I brought along my camera to document my experience. We went on Friday and it was super crowded. I nearly had a panic attack from the claustrophobic conditions. It was fun but I wish they limited the amount of nerds and RPG weirdos who could attend. Lots of girls got to dress up like sluts, which was nice. Here's my set over at Flickr:

I'm sure it's loads of fun, and I would love to go. But from what I understand, it has really changed. I read that Carmen Electra and Kim Kardashian created quite a buzz, they were promoting "Disaster Movie".....does that really belong at Comic-Con?

There was some kid sitting on the ground, wearing a cape, reading a comic book. WTF?

I saw many slave-Leias but I felt like too much of a creep to take a photo. Here are a few shots:

That's the weirdest thing you saw? That's can be almost considered normal at ComicCon.

what exactly were you expecting other than a bunch of comicbook nerds and "RPG weirdos"? I mean thats why comic book conventions exist so that nerds have a place to congregate IRL instead of just on the internet
