There were a ton of those on eBay (can't seem to find any now). Custom built light up models. Mostly cop cars, but a few others. I kinda really want one for the sheer awesomeness, but there all $$$

I've spent the afternoon Marlboroing one of my McLarens. I wouldn't have done it but some of the stickers were cracking and peeling (it's a 14 year old model after all) so I bought a replacement sticker sheet and set to work. I used Acetone to remove the old logos and picked off the old red decals on the wings which were replaced with vinyl. I'm not sold on that solution but it was the only one I could think of. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the colour matching was. I'm fairly satisfied with the end result

I think you should dissasemble it and start using tamiya paint. Just look what you can get to do, like my GT-One TS020 and some pacience.

It's a long time since I painted it so the state it's not really the best...

great pricey model but I want it in orange or grey.
How are the doors. Do the feel like falling off when used too much?

The doors feel quite solid and non floaty. I did want an orange one, but everywhere i looked, it wasn't in stock. The black one picks up loads of finger-prints.

It looks like a good one like that BMW a few pages back will set you back A LOT, since first you have to buy the model, then send it in for a custom job. The light-up police cars on eBay aren't as well made will go for anything from $100 to $300 and even higher.
