Default Electric guitar "acoustic sound" effect

I'd like know what effects device (or what the effect used is generally called) I would need to produce the acoustic sound with an electric guitar as demonstrated in this video:

+ YouTube Video

Thanks!

My advice is if you are serious about playing electric guitar, try to eventually get one of the all in one pedals, such as:

http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/regular/8/5/2/558852.jpg

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...dal?sku=151133

Pretty much has every effect known to man, plus all the other bells in whistles such as a wah pedal, built in tuner, sound loop creator, etc.

That way you don't need an extra pedal for each effect.

Well, yes, certainly. What I'm looking at just might be to start.

I tried the AC2. I wasn't blown away when I tried it in real life (guitar -> AC2 -> guitar amp). It certainly sounds more acoustic than your average clean sound, but it sure wasn't what i was hoping for and I was a bit dissapointed.

I can't hear your vid cause i'm at work, but i wouldn't expect miracles with that pedal.

As for what Jeffy says: yeah, a multi-effect is handy, but i found it to be a bit too complicated. In a live situation, you can rapidly change your normal effect pedal. A multi-effect takes too much editing in menu's for my taste.

But on the other hand, who knows, maybe i'll change back to multi-effect in two years. A guitaris is never happy about his tone: choosing is loosing.

I have a with Line6 PodXT with a Behringer FCB1010... So i just program the podxt and use the floorboard to switch fx and channel on my amp! And something like a podxt makes it really easy to record music at home..

That is all I have to say. As for if you want lots of pedals, you can also add the Behringer FCB1010 and you're in guitar heaven. And with computers, you can always change your whole setup on the fly.

Nevermind putting it through all the awesome plug-ins you can attach to a VST digital audio workstation. Digital always kicks ass. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
You'd need a well-powered laptop though, if you want to do very complex setups.
Haven't tried the guitar rig yet, but I have bought a few of their virtual instruments and the 'Kore' console, and my expectations have always been surpassed.
Doesn't have the "acoustic effect" though. But you can attach other plugins to a DAW to do that.
