FPS's better on PC or Console

Why do people laugh at me when I say I play Halo 2 PC?

After about five minutes those who can't stay the night have to go home, and the rest of us usually end up playing poker or something. Then the whole process is repeated the next time.

Wow, I feel sorry for you. The LAN parties I go to are much better than that

People laugh at Halo 2 PC because it means you have Vista.

PC shooter since I was young'un. I've tried to play FPS's but I just end up getting frustrated with how awkward the controls feel.

Moving feels much more natural and smoother on the 360. Everyone who ever turned into the next corner in Halo will know. What the PC has going for it is the better aim and the faster paced gameplay.

For me it totally comes down on mood. Do I want to have a bit of fun on the sofa or do I want to play against others in a battle of reflexes? Bothe have their place IMO.

I reckon both consoles and pcs have their goods and bads, I personally prefer consoles because I feel I have more control over it and more importantly I've only played on consoles my entire life. (Sans flash games)

In reality it's all down to personal prefrence and what feels the most comfortable for you.

PC all the way. (Mostly because I play on PC since I was 6 y.o.) But cause I have a console I'd say some slow paced FPS or "Duck and cover"(GOW) style games kinda work on consoles. But heh.. Watching multiplayer FPS's on consoles is so much fun! It's like 16 head injured people trying to find each other... I even cant describe it with my crappy english.. so.. IT'S BAD! Bot you can play some games cause they're console exclusive.

P.S. I really cant understand why Halo is so popular. Yes I know that's the first console FPS that was playable with controllers but WTF?

They are not better nor worse.

PC FPS's are completely different to Console FPS's. With the exception of PC FPS's ported to consoles or the other way round. For example, Killzone would never work on a PC in terms of gameplay. Because a console FPS gameplay usually tends to be slow paced. Whereas the PC ones (thanks to the agility of the combo: Keyboard + Mouse) allow a more frenetic gameplay which is difficult to translate correctly for a console controlloer.
