Does any keen listening FG'ers recognize the sound tracks from the trailer of the upcoming Cage-Mendes Flick Ghost Rider? If someone has the soundtrack listing of the whole movie, that would be fantastic

I think there was a thread about this earlier... Not the music but the trailer. Could ask in there.
Dont think they compiled a complete OST yet, as nothing is on amazon...

Usually music in trailers is "borrowed" from something else the studio has done. Recording the sound track is one of the last things that happens, especially for original compositions. I remember a film, I think it was Sky Captain and the World of Tormorrow used the theme from Stargate SG-1 in the trailer. It might not be that film, but I remember there was some film's trailer that used that composition and it was never in the film's official score.

I really like the music used in the trailer. Are they often custom made or taken from sources that can be "acquired"?

The song is called "The Island Awaits You" and it is from the The Island Soundtrack.

Guess i'll use this thread....
Critics pretty much nailed this movie, but it really wasn't all that bad. Had some pretty funny moments, cool scenes, cage was cage, and mendes was hot. Although it did have its fair share of bad acting and terrible lines (really terrible), but I still enjoyed it....

Probably the worst film I've seen so far this year. The story doesn't make any sense, the villains are laughable, the action scenes are crap... The only "good" thing was that, realising Eva Mendes can't act, the director decided to have the three-four top buttons of her shirts unbuttoned so that at least the eye candy covered some of her pathetic performance. Lucky I wasn't a fan of the comic, otherwise I would probably have felt insulted.

Just saw it last night and I didn't think it was all that bad. There certainly are a lot worse movies out there. The only real complaint I have is that the part before he becomes the ghost rider is wayyyyyy too long and drawn out. It's a comic book movie so naturally it's not going to have Oscar-winning performances.

Could of been better but it was interesting to see Peter Fonda as the Devil.

The movie was rubbish. Bad acting, bad directing, bad dialogue....but it was entertaining and I liked it.

No I haven't. I have seen Lord of War though which is a really good movie.
I won't dismiss the fact that there are some good movies starring Mr.Cage. It's just that most of his performances are below average. He's just not an actor who you can bet on putting up a good performance. Plus he's one of the usual "Blockbuster XYZ Seen it all" suspects. |
