The replay mode has always looked gorgeous, but I care about the actual gameplay graphics. Any HD videos of that?

Same engine, no? Photo mode "renders" it, but replay is just scripted actual gameplay I thought.

In GT4 I remember the replay mode had better graphics than gameplay.

The replay mode does have a bit more post-processing effects to make it look a bit more refined (30fps replay vs. 60fps game play), but to be honest I can't really tell the difference between gameplay and replay (except replay mode's 30fps is a bit slower), take my word for it, you WILL NOT be disappointed by its graphics.

I don't doubt it, but $550 is so much f'ing money for one game.

You could it as a media center for all your videos and stuff. It has DivX and WMV support now, so taht makes it really easy to use. And, if the video doesn't work there are the really good and free conversion programs.

Well if you ever want to get your HD content from a disc, unlike your current ways *cough*. It is pretty much the best player on the market right now.

And, like I said earlier, for games there is: MGS4, Kill Zone2, LittleBigPlanet, Haze, Resistence/2, God of War 3, GTA4, etc.

I feel you, I pretty much bought the PS3 for GT5, MGS4, and GTA4. I don't game much and anything else would consider as bonus. However, as soon as I turned it on I knew my old TV (51" SD CRT) wasn't gonna cut it, ended with a new TV and Logitech G25, much much more than I wanted to spend originally. images/smilies/wacko.gif

I didn't like CoD4 at first, but the MP is so great I've changed my mind. The first CoD and the expansion pack were the best IMO. The first time I ever tried MGS was on the Playstation and I didn't like it at all - don't care for the spy/ninja/sneak games.

I know $550 is a lot of money for a console which you want for one game. But honestly it's worth every cent. If I tell you the truth Gran Turismo it's the main reason why I bought myself a Ps3. Well, in fact was the main reason because i just can't barely wait for MGS4, GTAIV, FFXIII, Killzone 2 and many more to come.

If you REALLY love cars and probably, as the majority of us, won't be able to drive a supercar this is the nearest experience you will get to driving one.

Besides as db2450 mentioned, the PS3 is a great media center where you can even install Linux images/smilies/biggrin.gif

So you'll be spending the money on something more than a console.

Believe me it's worth it.
