I think it's safe to say that there will be damage in GT5. It's just that it might not go as far as many (including me) would like.

I soooooo hope that they have changing light conditions, one thing which annoyed me about GT4 and this track was that it stayed light all of the time, and it would be good to be able to practice at different times of the day too, so having a time trial in the middle of the night, or at dusk etc, if you know what I mean.

Other than that, epic track, fantastically modelled in gt4, and can only get better in gt5.

Catch me up plz: did the PC-release rumors get anywhere? Is this still PS3-only?

I'll have the Porsche Turbo S wheel in July and I may have a job by then. Should I buy a PS3 then and play Prologue or hold out for a possible PC release?

I hardly believe there will be a PC release. The PS3 it's their main objective and all their efforts are focused on the console. A PC release would bring many issues as the Gran Tursimo name and brand is a Sony registered brand. So in the PC the game would get a different name and different other things.

I'm sure that during the E3 a PS3 price cut will be announced. But if you are going to get the Porsche Wheel and you have the money for the PS3 I think you should get it. The content of a Gran Turismo game is so massive that will have you playing for years.

Yes it is. You see, many people complain that the PS3 it's too expensive but you get A LOT for the price. You'll only need to buy the cable adapters for your monitor (if your monitor has DVI you'll only need an HDMI to DVI cable) and that's it.

The console comes with Wi-Fi built in adapter, Wireless Dual Shock 3 (with built in USB rechargeable) battery, Blu-Ray player and free online gaming. The Xbox hasn't got any of these things and when you add all those things to the price, the PS3 is much cheaper.

It's quite a lot of money, I know but I really think it is worth it. Really

Eh, Xbox Live is only 50 a year, and I don't need wifi (my network is CAT5). But I would need a VGA splitter box ($20-$50), and an HDMI-VGA adapter which are about $25, and then a VGA cable, so another $10, and then some audio cables and another splitter for my Bose speakers...

So we're looking at roughly $520 to $560. And the only other game I'm interested in on PS3 is MGS4.

I'm gonna need a $50 price drop at the least, and I'm gonna need reviews of GT5 that are generally above 9.5, with very high multiplayer ratings. Basically, it's gonna need to be one helluva game before I invest five hundred dollars in it. Prologue ain't gonna do it.

Plus don't forget that I'm going to have to see if it differs enough from Forza 3 to even consider buying it, even if I did have the system.

But, if it comes out on the PC I'll get it for sure since I know it'll run well.

If you run Bose speakers, you're not worthy of playing Gran Turismo anyway.
