I don't know if any of you have been checking out Rockstars website but the trailer is coming out this Thursday at 6pm est. The last few days they have been running promos on FX at 1am central and recently sent out a letter to subscribers which had a banner that read 'Things will be different'

Just a video of the countdown they've been playing on TV

+ "The Most Worthless Video Ever" via YouTube

For what platforms will it be available? PC's out of doubt as well as PS3 and Xbox360 - but will there still be a version for the PS2?

I was just showing what they showed on TV. They actually paid FX for a spot on TV for that useless video. I didn't post it but I found it on YT from another forum. images/smilies/mellow.gif

I don't think they're making it for PS2. Just PS3, XBOX 360 and probably the PC.

dear god I hope not. One of the great things about GTA was the standalone story and not needing any online crap. I think they should have an online mode, or perhaps when you beat the game you can get online or something, but having the whole game online would really piss me off.

I was watching the countdown on FX a few days ago, and was confused, for a good amount of time before I noticed the Rockstar logo. As for it being different, maybe it takes place in space or something.

Things will be different?

Maybe a new city (something other than Liberty, Vice, and San Andreas)?
Maybe a story line with multiple endings/events based on how you play?
Multiple characters, or more freedom in creating your character?

MTA is ok, but it's really rather boring. The maps are obviously miles too big for what you're doing and there really aren't enough players to make it worthwhile. I first party online mode should change all that.
