GTA IV DLC packs coming to PS3 and PC!

Great news for those who don't have the xBox360

We are happy to announce the much anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows® - LIVE on March 30, 2010. For the first time, PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows - LIVE players will have the opportunity to experience the last two thrilling chapters of the Grand Theft Auto IV saga.

The two action packed episodes will also be available for download on the PlayStation Network and Games for Windows® LIVE on March 30, 2010. Each episode boasts the same detailed and immersive Liberty City we all know and love. Games for Windows - LIVE players can enjoy 32-player multiplayer matches and an advanced video editor, and all fans will have the chance to once again listen to the dulcet tones of Liberty City Radio.

The Lost and Damned is a dark trip through Liberty City’s seedy underbelly as outlaw biker, Johnny Klebitz, fights to keep his gang together as a rift in the gang’s leadership threatens to tear the brotherhood apart. In The Ballad of Gay Tony, players explore Liberty City’s high-end nightlife as Luis Lopez, struggling to balance the temptations of money and vice against loyalties to family and friends. Both episodes feature a slew of new vehicles and weapons, and each episode adds new activities including cage fighting, gang wars and BASE jumping.

the amount of money that Microsoft has generated from stating that these 2 releases were Xbox exclusives would probably more than make up for the cost of signing the exclusive with Rockstar.

I have a friend (who now isn't) who bought an Xbox just for GTA IV DLC (and Gears of War). Man am I going to enjoy this.

i'll agree completely there. The Lost and the Damned builds upon the game but its the Ballad of Gay Tony that just knocks it out of the ballpark. Actually i'd go so far as to say its almost become the model of DLC. Build upon games storyline but also build on what the player can do.

I have a friend who gloated sooo much that he had an xbox and I had a PS3 and therefore could 'never' buy the dlc! I say bring on the summer, by which point I will have the GTA dlc and Gran Turismo 5.

I dunno. Isn't justifying the "eventual" release of something on PS3, way after 360, kind of like justifying being a gamer and buying a Mac instead of a PC in the 90's?

"Oh, don't worry, Police Quest will come out on Mac next year!" and meanwhile we are on PQ 2 or 3 on PC?

Just sayin'.

Anyway, the DLC is pretty good. L&D was too short IMO. And in Gay Tony there are still people that get pissed if you don't hang out with them - they better drop that mechanic from the next GTA.

That's exactly why I hate getting games from Steam; I would much rather just get the hard copy.

I said to someone somewhere that if they charged $30 for both then I will be all over it. Well, I kept that promise.

As far as the giant download, I bought it last night, it was ready by this morning. Hard copy would involve actually making the effort of driving somewhere

Why? I started it this afternoon while I was busy at work and now it's done this evening so I can play it.

100x easier than going to a brick and mortar anyway.

To be fair, if I was sitting at home waiting, it would be faster to go to the nearest Gamestop and buy it than download it. But, a lot more work, and I am incapable of keeping track of physical objects for extended periods of time.
