It has been a few years since RIOT ACT was released. They have a bit of a different sound on this album, I've loved what I heard so far...

I can't find a link to another of their new songs, "Severed Hand"....they played both on SNL

Vs. was their last good album......They used to be my favorite band in the early 90's till Vitalogy was released. I thought they sucked after that.....What a let down. Maybe they've put out a good song here or there since, but their first two albums were incredible at that time, and you could listen to them all the way through.

lol...I'm still stuck in the Vs. days, it's an awesome album. But Vitalogy (not for your, better man, corduroy, immortality) and even Yield are also pretty good in their own regard. Their music has changed, each album has a different sound.

Regardless, their live performances are the best in the business. I love the fact that they release bootlegs of all of their concerts, and try to keep ticket (and cd) prices down.

What can I say, i'm always gonna be a fan 8)

Actually Ten is my favorite, one of the first CDs I ever bought actually images/smilies/wink.gif Eddie was my hero in those days. I can remember being like 11 years old and playing air guitar up in my room while jamming to "Alive" images/smilies/biggrin.gif

To be honest, I kind of gave up on them after Vs., so a lot of their other stuff is probably good and I just don't know it.

Dude, that whole grunge era was awesome....so much better than all this hip-hop/rap commercialized pop crap all over the radio and tv.

If you are interested, go on down to pearljamlive.com where you can listen to tons of their live performances from 1990 - 2005 (the latter years have almost all the concerts they played).

I remember WAAAY back when my brother gave me a CD of this unknown band he thought might hit it big. 2 months later, Pearl Jams "10" was huge.

Same, I haven't listened to Pearl Jam since Vitalogy. I bought Yield and Riot Act and thought they were both rubbish.

Though I still remeber the first time I heard "Even Flow" and "Alive" and I thought it was the best thing ever.
